Delete account

You can delete your GAYMATE account at any time – in the app or by email. Free of charge and without giving a reason.

Option 1 · Recommended

In the app

Open GAYMATE and sign in.
Tap your profile at the bottom, then the menu icon (☰) to open the settings.
Scroll all the way down and tap “Konto löschen” (delete account).
Enter your username to confirm and tap “Konto endgültig löschen” (delete account permanently).

Your account is deleted immediately. There is no waiting period and no way to restore it.

Tip: under settings → “Deine Daten exportieren” (export your data) you can save a copy of your data first.

Option 2 · Without the app

Can’t get into the app anymore? Then we’ll delete your account for you.

Write to support@gaymate.app from the email address you registered with.
Subject: “Delete account”. If possible, include your username.
We delete your account and confirm it by email – within one month at the latest.

So that nobody can delete someone else’s account, we check that the request comes from the email address of your account.
